Bridal Beauty ~ Helpful Tips To Prepare Before Your Big Day

Getting gorgeous for your wedding day means taking care of yourself inside and out.  It’s also a good idea to start asap and not wait until the last few days before you walk down the aisle.  I asked my friend Christine Guederian of Lady C Artistry to give us some beautification tips on preparing for the big day.  Christine is a wonderful makeup artist and often hosts helpful presentations tips on her blog.  I often find myself looking at her you tube video presentations on makeup tips which are informative and fun to watch!

Below are Christine’s list of Beautification Do’s:

MONTH OF BEAUTY REGIMEN

    • Do any waxing four to five days prior
    • Do Facials one week prior
    • Do Botox/fillers one month prior
    • Do Tanning Beds- 2 days prior…any closer to the big day and you will risk looking orange in your photos.
    • Do Fake Tanning- 2 days prior… try to keep in mind that the skin looks different in photography.
    • Most importantly, do not start any new regimen or try a new product if you have never done it before. Your wedding is not the time to take risks!

To Do’s on the DAY OF YOUR WEDDING:

    • Your face should be makeup-free and ready for your makeup artist.
    • Your hair should be dry and tangle-free, ready for your hair stylist.
    • Drink water for hydrated skin- this is an oldie, but a goody. The more water you drink, the more your skin will look plumper and brighter and will help makeup sit well on your skin. Who doesn’t want to have a healthy glow on their big day?
    • If you are getting airbrush-tanned, wear a towel or a top with the same neckline as your dress
Tomorrow, I’ll give you Christine’s five great products to help you prepare with.  In the meantime, checkout this bridal beauty tutorial from Christine.
